BRAINSPOTTING
Brainspotting, discovered by Dr. David Grand, is a neurobiological and relational process - "where you look affects how you feel.”
Brainspotting finds spots where people look that connects to parts of the brain that in turn connect to parts of our nervous system in our body where trauma is "stored". By accessing these spots in our brain we can focus, process, and release many body based and emotional experiences. Brainspotting simply connects to your body’s natural ability to heal.
Brainspotting can be an integrated part of therapy work or used as separate sessions with a focus on a specific issue.
Brainspotting is also a great option if you're already working with another therapist and want to have additional support in your healing path.
For example:
Test Anxiety
Grief
PSTD symptom reduction
Creative Blocks for artists, dancers, Danzantes, healers
Places of emotional"stuckness"
Mental health symptom reduction such as panic attacks, difficulty sleeping
Change in specific behaviors such as substance use
Sexual Harm
Post Crisis healing including natural disasters, climate change anxiety
Vicarious Trauma
Money Trauma
and more...
